A fitness enthusiast, an outgoing people person, and someone who enjoys helping others reach their goals - Maddie is a passionate Personal Trainer, certified in Fitness Nutrition and a mother to two beautiful baby girls. Her love for fitness started at a young age while playing competitive volleyball. After working with a personal trainer herself, she instantly knew that was the career path that she wanted to take. Her degree in Health Science taught her a lot about the body and what it is capable of. But nothing gives her greater joy then helping others achieve their goals and get healthier. Maddie opened Studio 22 because she realizes that not everyone is the same, there are no cookie cutter solutions to living a fit lifestyle. She doesn’t want you to feel like just another number, she wants you to feel like a part of the family. In her 9 years of personal training she has worked with a wide variety of clients, ranging from high school athletes training for a big game to senior citizens trying to get up and down the stairs. She loves what she does and she is 100% committed to you. Maddie hopes to be a part of your wellness journey.

For as long as I can remember I’ve always loved team sports and being active year round. This passion led me to pursue a degree in Kinesiology from Indiana University to help educate and train others on the benefits of living an active and healthy lifestyle. For the past four years, I have dedicated my time to motivating and supporting others to transform their lives. I love all different kinds of training styles having taught kickboxing, indoor cycling and circuit style classes. I have worked with people of all different fitness levels to help them achieve their goals and feel their very best. I absolutely love what I do and feel that helping others is the most rewarding feeling!

My journey into the fitness industry began over 15 years ago when I became afitness instructor for the New York State Police and I instantly fell in love. So muchso that I retired over ten years ago and have been working with a wide variety ofclients and athletic teams and I have never looked back. I truly love every minute ofit! Whether it is helping someone come back from an injury, helping an athleteprepare for college athletics, helping someone start running, or just trying to loosethat mid life belly, I love the challenge! Watching clients making transformationsand hitting their goals is truly rewarding. I am also a group fitness instructor andhave taught a variety of fitness classes including HIIT, Kickboxing, Step aerobic,couch to 5K, and Tabata!

In this role, you will be responsible for creating exercise and fitness plans for a wide-range of clients. You must have a positive attitude, highly motivated personality, and the ability to encourage clients to reach their fitness goals.

Personal Trainer Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead clients through exercise routines

  • Evaluate client fitness level and skill set to plan reachable goals

  • Monitor client through strength training and weightlifting

  • Counsel and educate clients on diet, nutrition, and exercise

  • Create a workout plan tailored to client needs

  • Chart and track client progress

  • Motivate and encourage client through positive words while training

  • Ensure equipment use and physical exercises are performed safely

  • Adjust client personalized plans as goals are reached

  • Lead small group classes on proper exercise routines

  • Educate clients on weight lifting and training equipment

  • Demonstrate and encourage correct warm-up and stretching techniques to avoid injury
